Increased capacity for Kuba SG coolers

January 2005
Major revisions to the SG range of coolers from Küba have resulted
in significant increases in capacity.
The revised versions of these commercial cubic coolers, now designated
SG.C, use inner finned tubes within the parallel tube coil block,
which combined with highly efficient refrigerant distribution results
in capacity increases of 30% or more compared to the previous models.
With percentage price increases kept in the low single figures,
this results in a greatly increased price-performance ratio.
Fans are fitted with an air guiding grid, which provide long air
throws, even air distribution and shorter pull down times. The KUBA-CAL
refrigerant distributor, which through it's efficient distribution
helps achieve the full benefits of the new rifled tubes, also reduces
frost build up across the coil block, helping to maintain performance
between defrosts. In addition, the even refrigerant distribution
allows low TDs (down to Dt1=4K) to be used to reduce dehumidification
of the stored product.
Other SG.C features include tube mounted defrost heaters, drip
tray heaters mounted on an intermediate plate, aluminium powder
coated casings, and a range of options that includes hot gas defrost,
sock adaptors, electric space heaters, fan collar heaters, AIRDRIVE
air deflectors, anti-corrosion protection and glycol versions.
