New electronic flow control valves

February 2005
Two new electronic control valves from the Refrigerating Specialties
division of Parker provide accurate control of refrigerant flow
in both industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
The EFS electronic liquid valve and EFVS electronic
pressure regulator are both designed for use on ammonia systems.
The electronic variable flow pilot technology combined with characterised
port provides near linear flow across a wide operating range for
precise flow control, without wiredraw. With positive shut off on
power failure and a manual opening stem (no special tools required)
the valves can be retrofitted for the equivalent R/S S4A solenoid
valves.
For commercial HFC systems, the (E)Port regulator uses the
same design principals to provide precise evaporator temperature
control across a wide operating range. With a mechanical manual
opening stem, it can be retrofitted to replace the equivalent Flocon
A8 and (S)PORT mechanical pressure regulators.
All valves can be controlled by industry standard 4-20 mA or 0-10V
analog control signals, either provided independently or via a range
of controllers also available from us.
