Gomax Quadra hose for carbon dioxide

At the Chillventa 2008 exhibition in Nuremberg, Italian manufacturer Transfer Oil announced that future production of its Gomax Quadra series of flexible hose will be suitable for transcritical refrigerant systems using carbon dioxide as the refrigerant.

This follows modifications to the structure of Gomax Quadra hose to allow pressures of up to 120 bar within a temperature range from -45°C to +130°C.

Quadra hose is available in 3 sizes

• Quadra-2 with an internal diameter of 2mm
• Quadra-4 with an internal diameter of 4mm
• Quadra-6 with an internal diameter of 6mm

All Gomax Quadra hose is available in two colours, black and orange, to allow identification of high and low side hoses on site. The recommendation is to use the orange hose to identify high pressure lines, and the black for low pressure. However because the pressure ratings are the same for both colours, the user can use either colour for either application.

A new compressed air operated bench crimping machine, Quadra Crimp, is also available as an alternative to the hand pliers.
