Pre-programmed controllers for service replacement:
ID Cool -ID Chill - ID Freeze

April 2006
A new range of electronic controllers, aimed at the service replacement
market, is now exclusively available from Thermofrost Cryo and its
stockists.
The range consists of three models, each pre-programmed to suit
the most common refrigeration applications. The pre-programming
allows them be used straight out of the box, with little or no programming
required on site.
The ID Cool model is designed as a service replacement for cabinets
and cold rooms cooling fruit, vegetables, beers, wines, flowers
and general produce. Pre-set at +3 deg C, it can be adjusted within
a temperature range of +3 to +15, and provides off-cycle defrost.
The ID Chill model suits cabinets and cold rooms storing chilled
products, for example meat or poultry, and is pre-set at -2 deg
C with an adjustment range from -15 to +5. It is pre-programmed
for electric defrost, with fan delay, but is also suitable for hot
gas defrost.
The third model, the ID Freeze, is pre-set at -18 deg C, with an
adjustment range from -40 to -10, making it suitable for freezers
and freezer cabinets storing frozen food, ice cream etc. Like the
ID Chill, it is pre-programmed for electric defrost, with fan delay,
with the option of hot gas defrost.
The dimensions of all three models conform to the industry standard
32 x 74 mm facia, and so they are suitable as a service replacement
for all brands of controllers with that same format. It is estimated
that over 75 models currently to be found in the UK market can be
replaced by ID Cool, Chill and Freeze.
The ID Cool, Chill and Freeze operate on mains power supply, and
are compatible with industry standard PTC and NTC sensors. Replacement
sensors are included with each, for use if the existing probes are
thought to be faulty.
The controllers are manufactured exclusively for Thermofrost Cryo
by Italian controls manufacturer Eliwell.
