Optyma Plus low noise units

Thermofrost Cryo Plc has announced a new low noise refrigeration condensing unit, the Optyma Plus.

These fully weatherproof units have been designed for noise sensitive applications such as forecourts and convenience stores, although they are also suitable for general applications where a housed refrigeration condensing unit is required. Noise levels range from 33 to 36 dB(A) at 10 meters on full load.

Both medium temperature and low temperature models are available, the medium temperature offering capacities form 1.5kw to 10.5kw at -10 deg. C evaporating, and the low temperature from 0.8kw to 5.6kw at -25 evaporating temperature. The units are primarily designed for use with refrigerant R404A, although the medium temperature models are also suitable for R134a or R407c.

The units are based around the renowned Maneurop M and N series compressors, with the exception of the smallest models which use the Danfoss SC. All are comprehensibly equipped with condenser fan speed control, drier, sight glass, HP/LP control, liquid receiver, liquid and suction valves, electrical isolator, compressor contactor, fuse and an IP54 electrics box. The fully enclosing weatherproof housing is epoxy coated, with a light grey finish and small footprint.
