RCL joins the Thermofrost Cryo Group

Manchester based wholesaler Refrigerator Components Ltd (RCL) has become part of the Thermofrost Cryo group of companies.

Established as suppliers to the refrigeration and engineering trade in 1948, the company was known as E & L.C. Walker Ltd until 1982, when it adopted it's current name. With a thriving trade counter near the centre of Manchester, RCL delivers across the whole of the north west and the M62 corridor, with a satellite branch offering a local service to north Wales.

"We are delighted to have found a partner with whom we can expand our existing refrigeration business, and also serve the growing demand for competitively priced air conditioning products" says RCL General Manager Adrian Walker. Thermofrost Cryo Managing Director, Andrew Barwick, echo's those feelings: "RCL has an enviable reputation for service and we will be working together to build upon their successful formula".

In recent years the company has held a popular industry golf day at the Mere Green in Cheshire in memory of former Managing Director Mr Eric Walker. On joining the Thermofrost Cryo Group, his widow and current Managing Director Mrs Avril Walker retires from the business.

Thermofrost Cryo itself has a long established reputation as a major supplier of refrigeration products, in particular compressors and controls. Recently TFC moved into the air conditioning market and has become a leading supplier of LG split systems.
