New Universal-J service replacement controller
October 2005
Manufactured by Dixell, the new Universal-J is designed
as a service replacement for all 32 x 74 mm electronic controls
that operate as thermostats (either cooling or heating), or as refrigeration
controllers with off-cycle defrost.
Programming has been simplified to just 5 easy steps using the
inbuilt "smart" parameter, and it is compatible with both PTC and
NTC industry standard sensors. A spare NTC sensor is included so
that a faulty on-site sensor can be replaced if necessary.
The new Universal-J controller compliments the existing and very
popular Dixell Universal-R. Its restricted range of applications
compared to the Universal-R allows the use of a less powerful microprocessor,
resulting in an inexpensive controller that can be used to replace
over 55 commonly encountered refrigeration controllers from a variety
of manufacturers.
It's big brother, the Universal-R, continues in its latest version
3 format, offering maximum versatility and able to replace over
110 common models of thermostat (again cooling or heating), off-cycle
defrost control, time or temperature terminated defrost control,
and defrost control with fan delay.
The combination of the Universal-J and Universal-R models provides
a complete, comprehensive and cost effective solution to the service
replacement of 32 x 74 controllers.
The order code for the Universal-R is DIXL047 and for the Universal-R
is DIXL042.
